What the Cloud API connection does
WhatsApp Cloud API is the Meta-hosted messaging platform. WAAPI Connect provides a browser workspace around authorized business connections, contact records and supported event visibility. Meta controls account permissions, approvals and messaging availability.
Start with the right business assets
You need control of the business assets you intend to connect. In Connect WhatsApp, the portal uses Facebook Login for Business and Embedded Signup to request authorization. A successful login alone is not a completed phone connection: the account and number must be returned and validated.
Verify the connection before using it
Review Your connected numbers, use Check access, confirm the webhook subscription and send a new authorized test message to verify event delivery. The administrator API testing screen is a separate environment-configured integration.
Know what is available today
Contact management, local campaign/template drafts and separate account access are available. Client account onboarding and supported webhook history need configuration and validation. General outbound campaigns, full agent replies and billing remain under development.
