What Coexistence means
Coexistence is Meta’s supported onboarding path for eligible businesses that want to use the WhatsApp Business mobile app alongside an API connection. It differs from an ordinary migration that changes how a number is used.
Use the supported onboarding path
In the portal, choose WhatsApp Business App + API (Coexistence). Complete Meta’s authorization and the Business App flow it offers. If Meta does not offer that flow, stop and check eligibility. Do not delete a mobile account or deregister a number to force the connection.
A saved connection is only one checkpoint
The portal can show an authorized account, phone number and subscription status. The label Coexistence requested describes the selected flow; it does not independently prove that the mobile app and API are both working.
Test incoming events and mobile replies
Use your own test recipient to message the business number, refresh the portal and inspect incoming history. If the correct Meta setup and event subscriptions are active, supported mobile-app echoes can also be displayed. Historical chat import and media downloads are not enabled.
Keep permissions and credentials current
Authorization can expire or be revoked. Each business must maintain the required access. Meta determines eligibility and feature compatibility; Hardeep ERP Software can help explain the portal configuration.
